Shield
Move SOL into the shielded pool. In the intended design, a private note represents your funds. The deposit remains public.
The Zcash approach to privacy, designed for Solana. Shield SOL, explore private payments and choose what to disclose in the interactive demo.
EXPLORE BRIDGE ZECSimulated transfer. No blockchain transaction or fee.
Move sample SOL from your public balance to your shielded balance.
No operations yet.
Explore the proposed route from ZEC on Zcash to zZEC in a Solana shielded pool. Sample balances only. No deposit address, real bridge or on-chain transaction is created.
Choose an amount to review the simulated bridge.
zZEC is an illustrative bridged asset in this demo, not a deployed token. A real bridge introduces custody and verification risks and would not automatically preserve Zcash privacy.
Inspired by Zcash viewing keys: separate the right to read from the right to spend. Compare perspectives and choose visible fields in this illustrative demo.
Choose fields for the reader. These are demo display controls, not cryptographic viewing keys.
A Zcash-inspired shielded-pool design for Solana: private notes represent funds, nullifiers prevent repeat spending, and proofs validate a payment without exposing its private details.
Move SOL into the shielded pool. In the intended design, a private note represents your funds. The deposit remains public.
Send from your shielded balance. A proof would verify a valid payment without publishing its private details.
Move SOL back to a public address. Withdrawal details become visible again; amounts and timing can reveal connections.
Pool activity, timing, distinctive amounts and public activity affect privacy. A quiet pool offers less cover.
The intended viewing permission would reveal selected records without control over funds. Information already seen cannot be taken back.
ZSIDE takes its intended privacy architecture from the ideas behind Zcash: shielded notes, commitments, nullifiers, zero-knowledge proofs and viewing keys. The current interface demonstrates these ideas with sample data.
Following the Zcash note model, encrypted notes would represent your funds. Commitments would record their existence without publishing the amount, recipient or note contents.
PRIVATE NOTES / PUBLIC COMMITMENTSA nullifier would prevent the same note from being spent twice. The intended design would let the network reject a repeat spend without publicly linking the nullifier to its original note.
NULLIFIERS / DOUBLE-SPEND PREVENTIONZero-knowledge proofs would establish spending authority and conservation of value without revealing the private payment details. A proof system has not been implemented in this demo.
ZERO-KNOWLEDGE PROOFS / VALID TRANSACTIONSInspired by Zcash viewing keys, the intended disclosure tools would let an authorized reader inspect permitted records without control over funds. The field switches here illustrate visibility only.
VIEWING KEYS / SELECTIVE DISCLOSUREThe proposed model connects pool activity with infrastructure funding, token buybacks and holder decisions about future supported assets.
Proposed fee when funds leave the shielded pool. Shielding and internal transfers would carry no protocol fee; network and relayer costs may still apply.
Half of the collected protocol fee would support relayers and pool infrastructure.
The other half would fund market purchases of $ZSIDE, followed by token burns. Execution details remain to be defined.
Holders would vote on which SPL assets should receive a shielded pool next.
Proposed economics only. This demo collects no fees, performs no buybacks or burns, and does not provide live governance. No token contract is published here.
Explore an interactive interface with sample SOL: shield, send, unshield and compare record perspectives. All operations are simulated and do not create blockchain transactions.
No. It only displays your public address. This site does not request signatures or submit transactions. Demo balances are independent of your wallet.
In the intended design, deposits and withdrawals remain public. Transaction metadata and timing may also reveal connections. Privacy depends on the implementation and user behavior.
ZSIDE is an independent project exploring a Zcash-inspired shielded-pool design for Solana. It is not a Zcash product and is not affiliated with Zcash, Electric Coin Company or the Zcash Foundation. Using the same architectural ideas does not mean transactions run through the Zcash network.
No. Bridge ZEC is an interactive simulation: it deducts sample ZEC and adds sample zZEC at an illustrative 1:1 ratio. It does not connect to Zcash, accept deposits, mint a token or move real funds. A production bridge requires custody, verification, redemption and independent security review.
No token contract or sale is provided on this website. Official project links will be added when available.
